Spiros Livadopoulos has been a lawyer since 2002, a member of the Athens Bar Association, and the founder of Mediate and Solve, an out-of-court dispute resolution firm. He has been a mediator in civil and commercial cases since 2010 (certified by the British CEDR) and is one of the first accredited mediators in Greece (accredited by the Ministry of Justice). He is also a mediator trainer and has been working with the Piraeus Mediation Centre since 2013.

As a mediator, he has conducted hundreds of successful mediations, bringing disputes that had been pending for years before the courts to a resolution. He has experience both in Greece and abroad. As a certified Family Mediator, he has helped dozens of couples peacefully resolve their disputes, settling issues related to their children, as well as property and financial matters. In particular, he has handled mediations in international family disputes involving child abduction and relocation to another country.

As a lawyer, he has worked with companies in the construction and property management sectors, as well as in the service sector. He has been a consultant to the Ministries of Interior and Development and has worked with various governments. At the same time, he has maintained his own law office since 2008, providing advice and court support to individuals and companies in civil, commercial, and family law cases.

He is also a certified adult educator by EOPPEP and an Accredited Mediator Trainer. He has created training programs in mediation and collaborates with educational institutions both in Greece and abroad. His experience amounts to thousands of hours.

He graduated from the Law School of the University of Macerata (Italy) and holds a Master’s degree in “European Studies for Business and Organizational Executives” from the Athens University of Economics and Business. Foreign Languages: English, Italian, and French.

Spiros Livadopoulos has been a lawyer since 2002 and is a member of the Athens Bar Association. He is an accredited mediator in civil and commercial cases and an accredited mediator trainer. Throughout his professional career, he has worked with the ELLAKTOR Group of Companies (2002-2007 the largest construction company in Greece), particularly with AKTOR ATE & REDS SA, providing advisory and litigation services, primarily handling cases and issues related to contract law, construction law, joint-stock companies law, public contracts, real estate development , and public tenders – procurement. He has also worked with the General Secretariat for Gender Equality of the Ministry of Interior (2010-2013) as a legal advisor and special assistant in the Office of the Secretary General and in the Special Service, providing advice on public contracts and public tenders. From 2017 to 2019, he was a consultant at the Ministry of Economy & Development, at the General Secretariat for Industry, and (since 9/2018) at the Office of the Deputy Minister of Economy and Development. From 2008 to 2018, he was a founding member of the law firm “Giannakopoulos – Livadopoulos – Skoulatos & Partners,” providing advice and court support to individuals and companies in civil, commercial, and family law cases.

Since 2018, he founded Mediate & Solve, an out-of-court resolution firm specializing in mediation, out-of-court resolution methods, advisory services, and mediaton training.

Mediation:

He has experience in mediation since 2011, conducting the first mediations in Greece following the enactment of Greek Law (3898/2010) in commercial, family, and other civil disputes. Since then, he has conducted hundreds of successful mediations, primarily in family disputes, international family disputes, business and intra-company disputes, commercial disputes, international commercial disputes, mediations in energy and environmental matters, leases, real estate, and banking disputes. He has gained significant practical experience abroad, having worked with organizations (New York Peace Institute/USA, CEDR/UK, Mikk/Germany) and individual mediators (USA, Belgium, England), either by observing mediations or conducting co-mediations. He also participated in the negotiating team for the Ministry of Economy and Development with the ECB and IMF technical teams. He was trained and certified in Civil and Commercial Mediation in 2010 by the Center for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR-UK), CEU- Cardozo Scholl of Law (USA), and is one of the first mediators accredited by the Greek Ministry of Justice.

As a Rotary International scholar, he attended a three-month training program (June–August 2017) and received an international certification in conflict resolution, “Professional Development Certificate in Conflict Resolution & Peace Building,” from Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand. From 2018 to 2019, he collaborated with the Small Business Institute of GSEVEE as a researcher in the European “Early Warning” Program. The research concerned conflicts and disputes in small businesses and the methods they choose to resolve their conflicts. He is also a Cadastral Mediator and a certified Mediator in Financial Disputes from the Hellenic Banking Institute.

Mediators Training:

He is a certified adult trainer by EOPPEP (national organization for the certification of skills and qualifications). He is an accredited mediator trainer (Toolkit Company/KEDIP) and has been collaborating with the Piraeus Mediation Center in mediator training since the institution’s inception in 2013. He has been a lead trainer since 2018, providing programs in Basic Mediator Training and further training in Family and Commercial Mediation. He created the first Family Mediation certification program in Greece. He has also trained mediators in International Family Mediation in cases involving child abduction, in collaboration with the German international mediation organization Mikk e.V. (Portugal 2015, Germany 2019–2025). He has trained professionals—Rotary International scholars of the Professional Development Certificate in Conflict Resolution & Peace Building program—at Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand (01/2020). He has participated as a trainer in seminars on International Family Mediation in collaboration with the European Law Organization ERA, training lawyers and judges in Greece, Italy, Belgium, and Romania. He has participated as a speaker in seminars, workshops, conferences, and presentations promoting the institution both in Greece and abroad, and as a member of a working group for EU projects (MED-ENF, European Parliament 2015). He also contributed to the creation of a World Charter for International Family Mediation (International Social Service, Geneva 2015).

He has created programs for businesses on workplace conflict resolution. His training experience totals thousands of hours.
